The experiment we carried out shows that modifying epoxy resin with nanosilica can increase parameters, such as the composite elastic modulus and glass transition temperature (Tg). This is very promising as these are the main parameters considered when designing structures, according to the American Concrete Institute (ACI). For example, increasing the modulus of elasticity for the footbridge structure by 10–15% has a beneficial effect on the load capacity.
